CrossWind, has awarded Fugro the contract to deliver comprehensive geotechnical site investigation solutions. Fugro provides marine geotechnical services to determine and manage the ground risk associated with marine project development. Using technical expertise, advanced exploration tools, field and laboratory testing, computer simulations and quantitative methods, Fugro identifies, evaluates and resolves geotechnical design challenges.
High-quality data
The site investigation solutions at the Hollandse Kust Noord site comprised an unexploded ordnance (UXO) site clearance survey followed by a seabed cone penetration test (CPT) investigation. After clearing the sites with the Fugro vessel Atlantis Dweller, Fugro has mobilized their seabed SEACALF® Mk V DeepDrive CPT system for the fieldwork. The SEACALF acquires high-quality data over the full foundation depth of wind turbines and has already been successfully deployed on a series of North Sea projects.
Quick delivery
Ahead of schedule, the seabed survey for the Hollandse Kust (noord) offshore windfarm is now complete. Tjalling de Bruin, CrossWind Project Director congratulates and thanks Fugro and its professional team of operators for executing a safe and efficient survey. The SEACALF Mk V Deepdrive system delivered quick and reliable data and all parties look forward to working together again on future projects.
